LCWR BrochureThank you for taking the time to visit our website. We hope that you find the information and resources you need to begin your path toward a new career and a better Louisiana. Feel free to contact us any time or schedule an appointment to speak with our counselors.

LCWR is a non-profit project that is dedicated to providing employment services to those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. With offices in New Orleans, Metairie, Baton Rouge, Opelousas, and Lake Charles, we are able to serve many residents of south Louisiana.

LCWR has a special relationship with the Building and Construction Trades Department (BCTD) of the AFL-CIO, which offers employment and training opportunities to those interested in a construction career. BCTD unions offer their members industry leading wages and benefits, FREE training, and career mentorship. The BCTD Apprenticeship programs are designed to give a person the tools to break cycles of poverty and help them enter the middle class. There is information on this website about these and other training programs.

LCWR also offers services to white-collar job seekers and employers in the New Orleans area. Employers who are interested in meeting with our Job Developer should contact us to schedule a meeting. Job seekers can meet with our job counselors to discuss potential job opportunities with our employer-partners, as well as receive assistance with their resume, cover letter, interview skills, and other job-ready skills.

This website is designed to provide you with information about the Louisiana Center for Workforce Recovery (LCWR), the services we offer, and some of the key partners we work with to provide training options to our clients.

Thank you,

Chad Ikerd
