Louisiana AFL-CIO
 



LCWR is pleased to have the financial support of both public and private funding sources. Several of our funders include:

  • The Union Community Fund of the AFL-CIO supports LCWR with a grant for general operating expenses and staff funding in the Baton Rouge area.


  • Through a CDBG grant with the Louisiana Workforce Investment Council (formerly the Louisiana Workforce Commission), we have partnered with the Gulf Coast Construction Careers Center (G4C) to provide outreach, recruitment, and assessment for G4C preapprenticeship program.


  • The Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund provides resources for staff funding in the New Orleans area and have been used to expand our job counseling capabilities.


  • The Louisiana Workforce Commission, formerly the Louisiana Department of Labor, provides in-kind office space at One-Stop Career Solutions Centers in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas. The LWC is the primary funding source for LCWR's parent organization, the Louisiana Human Resources Development Institute (LHRDI).

If we are able to secure funding for additional resources we will expand the scope of our services at that time.
